Therapy for Adults

Adults come to me for many different reasons. They may have a general sense of dissatisfaction with life, career or relationships. Sometimes a life change such as losing a job, having a child, moving or going through a divorce is the concern. Some individuals feel stuck in problematic patterns or difficult life situations and want to make a change. Family problems are another common concern. Other individuals are having difficulty maintaining a balance of handling responsibilities and taking care of themselves. Others need to work on how a past trauma affects them. Some individuals have symptoms of mood disorders, depression, or anxiety. Others want to work on lifestyle concerns such as eating healthier and losing weight.

Begin Therapy Today

For adults we begin with a consultation in which we talk about your background, current situation and stressors you may be experiencing. I will do a thorough screen for any underlying mental health concerns. By the end of the first meeting, I will be able to provide you with my impressions and recommendations, as well as outlining some potential goals. To receive the most benefits from our meetings, subsequent appointments are scheduled on a regular basis, typically weekly to every other week to start.
